# Share tentative work with teammates

Sometimes a team needs to coordinate before it is ready to agree a promise. A person can explicitly
share a proposal so teammates and their agents can discover that tentative intention in the same
workspace and repository.

## Share or withdraw a proposal

On the proposal page, use **Share proposal with teammates** when that control is available to you.
The page then shows **Shared for coordination**, who shared it, and the revision involved. Use
**Withdraw sharing** to stop offering it through coordination discovery.

Edits remain shared until sharing is withdrawn. An edited successor can therefore be discoverable
without the original sharer having reviewed its new meaning. Inspect the current revision and its
author before relying on it. Withdrawing sharing is different from withdrawing the proposal itself.

## What does another agent see?

Before planning related behavior, `discover_intent` can return agreed promises and shared tentative
intentions in separate groups. An agent follows a relevant proposal's `fullRead` link to
`get_proposal`, checks that sharing is current, and checks the returned revision and digest. The
narrower `list_shared_work` interface also supports bounded queries with known markers or a short
task-shaped keyword. It cannot browse every draft or share anything on your behalf.

For example, one person might share a plan to simplify teammate setup while another plans repository
enrollment. If those changes overlap, their agents can point out the overlap and suggest
coordination before either design becomes settled.

## What sharing does not mean

A shared intention is not owner approval, protected behavior, proof of duplicate work, or evidence
that somebody is currently working on it. The named sharer does not become a required approver of
unrelated work. Recommendations stay recommendations until the person chooses them.

The explicitly shared coordination list is separate from recorded-promise discovery. Relevant
recorded promises can reach their recorder’s agent and, when the workspace permits it, teammates’
agents even without this sharing action. They are labelled not agreed and interpreted using their
returned `use` instruction. Withdrawal of sharing does not itself withdraw the recorded proposal.
See [recorded intent](/docs/capture-a-promise.md#is-recording-useful-before-formal-agreement). An empty or
bounded search result does not prove that nobody else is working on the problem. Share only meaning
and scope that you intend teammates to discover; do not paste code, credentials, or raw
conversations.
