Seed from documents.
The fastest way to see Balladeer work: upload the docs where decisions already live (a PRD, an architecture doc, a roadmap) and it drafts the decisions it finds, with the why. Skipping is fine; the memory then starts empty and fills as your team works.
Seeding is currently enabled per workspace. If this step does not appear in your setup wizard, it is not yet available for your workspace.
You can upload Markdown, plain text, PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and CSV files. For a Google Doc, Sheet, or Slides deck, use File then Download to export it as PDF, Word, or Excel and upload that.
How it runs
- Start a seed pass from the setup wizard, or any time at app.balladeer.ai. Scope it deliberately: high-signal documents, not everything.
- Drafted candidates land in the review queue grouped by confidence, with the low band first and expanded, because that is where the fixes are. The high band sits collapsed under "added as-is unless you change them", one click away whenever you want to read it.
- Fix or reject what is wrong; accepting or editing a candidate enters it as a confirmed team decision (that gesture is the team's confirm). When you finish the batch, untouched candidates are admitted as unconfirmed: silence is a verdict, but a soft one.
- A candidate that lands very close to a decision you already have is held instead of admitted, and the review shows it with the near-matches beside it. You place each held one yourself: it IS that decision, it refines it, it replaces it, it sits above them, or it is genuinely different (which takes a one-line why that trains the duplicate detector).
- You can always run another pass over more sources. Anything an earlier pass already drafted is skipped, so overlapping sources never hand you the same candidate twice.
Nothing enters your team's memory without this review. What you explicitly approved is confirmed on entry; what you left untouched waits, unconfirmed, for a ruling.
